Do you remember the most frightening event that happened ten years ago? A series of coordinated suicide attacks upon the United States in New York City happened on September 11th, 2001.
Ten years ago, Tuesday morning 19 terrorists from the Islamist militant crashed two planes, American Airlines Flight 11and United Airlines 175, into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. Both towers collapsed within two hours. Many people jump from the towers in fire. Nearly 3,000 people died in the attacks. The group’s leader Osama bin Laden, claimed responsibility for the attacks. The United States responded to the attempt by launching the War on terror. In May, 2011, after years at large, bin Laden was found and killed.
It’s terrible, serious damage was made to the economy of lower Manhattan and had an impact on global markets.
I think I’m afraid to see that. I don’t know if we could have avoided it, because the politics knew it was coming and they couldn’t stop it.
